Knowledge and experience: the successful synergy between CKC Seminars and BluePoint Antwerp

In this interview, we meet Bente van de Put, Conference Coordinator at CKC Seminars, and delve into the world of high-quality B2B conferences and the successful synergy between the Dutch organizer and BluePoint Antwerp. Following a highly successful first collaboration in October 2025 for the “HRM in Zorg en Welzijn” conference, we discuss the vision, history, and future plans of this innovative player in the conference industry.

Three decades of expertise and innovation

Bente: “For over 30 years, since 1993, CKC Seminars has been an established name in the world of B2B conferences, masterclasses, and seminars. Based in the innovative heart of the Brainport region in Eindhoven, we focus on (senior) management with a program that always seeks the ideal balance between knowledge and experience.

We are a small, close-knit team of 8 to 10 people with an entrepreneurial and agile culture. What makes us unique is that we organize nearly all our conferences in-house, on our own initiative, and at our own risk. We believe that every good idea deserves a platform.”

The director behind the scenes

Bente: “As a conference coordinator, I oversee projects from start to finish. Together with a project developer, we build the program, with the developer assessing market trends and determining the themes, often supported by an advisory board from the field.

Once the concept is finalized, I take over the logistics: from liaising with the venue and technical teams to catering and participant recruitment. On the day of the event, I serve as the central point of contact on-site to ensure everything runs smoothly.”

Speed and quality through in-house management

A unique strength of CKC Seminars is its independence. Bente: “Our greatest strength is our independence and our ‘in-house’ approach. We have our own graphic designers and website administrators, which means we aren’t dependent on external parties and can adapt quickly. Additionally, our 30 years of experience ensure we have deep knowledge of the sectors in which we operate, such as healthcare, government, and education.”

A philosophy that aligns perfectly with BluePoint’s, and which ensured that both parties were able to successfully organize this first event.

First event at BluePoint Antwerp: the Belgian debut of HRM in Healthcare and Welfare

On October 22, 2025, the first Belgian edition of the “HRM in Zorg en Welzijn” conference took place at BluePoint Antwerp. Bente: “On Tuesday, October 22, 2025, the first Belgian edition of the ‘HRM in Healthcare and Welfare’ conference took place at BluePoint. The theme was Future-proof care: people-centered organization for sustainable success.

It was a successful day with approximately 120 to 150 attendees, including HR professionals, managers, and consultants. We used the James Cook Room for the plenary sessions and various breakout rooms, such as the Columbus Room, for parallel sessions. The atmosphere was professional, and the interaction at the information fair in the ‘Brug & Bar’ area  was very valuable.”

The BluePoint Team: “Enormous responsiveness and flexibility”

Bente: “The preparation went very smoothly, but on the day itself or just before, there are always details that need to be fine-tuned. For example, we noticed that the lighting in some rooms and the room layout were not yet entirely optimal for the visibility of the video screens or the speakers’ presentations. In the James Cook Room, the lighting had to be specifically adjusted to better highlight the speakers.

The BluePoint team demonstrated tremendous responsiveness and flexibility in this regard. They immediately helped adjust the technical setup and proactively contributed ideas about switching rooms, even on short notice. This seamless support ensured that any hiccups were resolved right away.”

Accessibility and facilities: two decisive factors

Bente: “The choice of BluePoint Antwerp was strategic. In surveys, our participants indicated that they greatly appreciated the central location and the easy accessibility (both by public transport and by car, thanks to ample parking).

A lasting partnership for the future

The positive experiences and the high-quality ambiance of the venue have led CKC Seminars to already decide to return to BluePoint for the next edition this fall.

Bente: “We were so satisfied with the first edition that we immediately decided to return to BluePoint Antwerp in the fall. We look forward to further expanding our Belgian community together with the BluePoint team.”
